Don't overshare on social networking.
People have a propensity to post holiday pictures while far from home - but, if such information is seen from the wrong sets of eyes it can result in attempts to rob your home. Also, do not react to social-media invitations to events that involve all of the occupants of your house - doing so can let the general public know ahead of time that nobody will be home at a certain time. There are so many different examples of what not to share on social media - the bottom line is think twice before submitting, also, whenever possible, utilize technology to deal with any errors in this aspect. Check for skimmers and concealed cameras.
Prior to making a credit card payment or with the ATM machine, check the apparatus for added-on cameras or "skimming technology" When a card reader appears to have been tampered with something appears strange about an ATM machine, discover another machine and notify somebody in the shop or bank that something may be amiss. Obviously, do exactly the same for any device which requires a biometric read of yourself - if something seems to have already been added to the apparatus, don't offer the system with your own fingerprints, or allow it to scan your iris, etc..
Don't let anyone see you enter sensitive information into a computerized apparatus.
With cameras omnipresent, it is important to block people's view of your hand when entering PIN numbers, passwords, alarm codes, your own kids ' carpool pickup times, etc.. Remember, high-resolution cameras which can see clearly from far away are widely available - you may not even find a camera that is recording you.
Lock up harmful medications which are candidates for abuse.
In case you have such prescription medications at home don't store them in medication cabinets which are accessible by visitors or anywhere else where visitors may strike them. You don't know the personal demons of everyone who visits your home - many men and women suffer from addiction issues; the exact same may hold true for the other residents of your house.
